If you’re sick of me yelling about this race, I’ve got good news for you - it’s over!After an extended stay just 77 miles from Nome, the final dog teams have mushed their way under the burled arch! We’ve got ourselves an #Iditarod champion! Jessie Holmes made to Nome last night. He’s the third champion to snag a consecutive win after an inaugural championship, and he joins just a handful of mushers with multiple wins. There’s still a lot of race left for the mushers at the back of the pack, and you thought I’d be done yapping, you’re wrong.

Y’all, we’re getting close(r) to naming a champion! The top teams are moving along the coast, and while Jessie Holmes is holding onto to his lead, there’s a lot of movement and leapfrogging happening behind him. Also, the coast is a place where anything can happen and where many races have been won and lost. We’ve got ourselves a sled dog race, y’all! The top teams have hit the Yukon River, while there’s a lot of race left, things are heating up. I think Paige is making Jessie nervous. I overheard him on the live feed talking about how she’s “going for it” this year that he doesn’t know what she’s going to do, which is a good thing for @squidacreskennel fans, I think. #iditarod #dogs #alaska #dogmushing
